05 Xenon bulbs

As far as my knowlegde is concerned, Mini OEM Xenon bulbs are 4100K. In order to get a little bit more blue, is it possible to replace them with 6000Ks? or going extreme with 8100Ks? A guy at Mini2, shows pics after bulb upgrade to 6000K, which looks very cool, and he says it is a simple bulb replacement.

BTW, this is what I found out:

6000K has an approximately 2800lm output, which is 3x the light output of the traditional halogen light and slightly less light output compared to the 5000K. Although it has a bit lesser light output, it emits pure whiter light with very slight and barely noticeable tint of blue and purple. Please note: most people have a common misconception that the higher the K (Kelvin temperature) the brighter it gets, but in fact, it is the opposite. The K rating is inversely proportional to the light output, therefore the lower the K the brighter the light output.

The xenons on our cars app. has a lifetime of 3000 hours, 4 years.

Any experiences?

I've seen 6000k in person and I think they're a tad bit too blue. I think 5000k is just perfect, but thats just me.

If the stock bulbs ever burn out I might try it, otherwise I'm quite happy with the stock's intensity and color.
