loose add a fuse

Today I installed my Euro parcel shelf with 12V outlet. I purchased an
"add-a -circuit" as has been suggested elsewhere in these forums. Everything went well until I attempted to plug in the add a circuit with a 10 amp fuse. The add a circuit module fits too loosely in the fuse slot-it has no grip at all. Now all the fuses have little notches in each metal tab which I am guessing provides a soft locking capability. The Add a Fuse tabs are straight-no notches. Could this be the problem? I know that I have the right size and I have never heard of anyone having this problem so I am kind of baffled.
Thanks for any help/suggestions

Carefully give the blades of the add-a-circuit a light twist so they look something like this (but not quite as much twist, this is just to illustrate):

instead of the normal

(sorry for the awful grafix!)

This will help make better contact in the fuse block and keep the add-a-circuit from falling out. Give only enough of a twist to tighten things up, dont overdo it, and be careful not to impart too much force on the plastic body.

tight fuse

Thanks Greatbear. I had tried to torque the tabs a little bit and it still was very loose, but after your post I tried again with a stonger angle and managed to get a tight fit!
