Alarm in a Convertible?

Has anyone installed an alarm in a MINI convertible? I know the hardtop has an omni (space) sensor on the roof lining above the rear seat. Does the convertible have the same sensor?

I'm not sure what is all different in the Cabrio but it costs more. Dealer said there are more/different sensors and installation takes longer vs. a hard top.
