ElectricalFor discussions regarding wiring up electrical modifications such as radar detectors, brake light mods, power sockets, and driving lights in Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs.
I agree, mine took a whole 45 min., It took longer for the Tech to program it. WATCH out before you leave, check ALL your programmed functions, they had to hook it up twice because they cleared everything out.
Same. I've not had my options fixed in the last 2 trips to the dealer.
I'm planning on activating it on Wednesday. What's interesting is that the LED light blinks when the vehicle is locked. So if you don't have the money to buy the alarm and get it activated, you could look like you have an alarm, just by installing the headlight stalk with the LED.
Really? So the LED will blink when the doors are locked even before you take it in for activation?
Apparently the tilt sensor is now incorporated with the siren, so no more little L bracket mounted box. I still haven't had mine activated (DIY install), so I can't confirm.
Installing the new stalk yourself is no problem. Have you tried Classic Auto Campus? 440-205-6404
NO wonder i couldnt find the tilt sensor wiring in the rear trunk compartment... i thought i had to start cutting the wireharness open. Also i was questioning why the dealer did not send me the tilt sensor in the 06 Factory alarm kit.
