F55 cruise control retro fit?

The 2018 LCi F55 Cooper Classic I am buying, only has the limiter function on the steering wheel. Also as the stock OEM Classic steering wheel is cheap plastic, I have ordered a used 3 spoke leather multifunction sport steering wheel from eBay (has same airbag), I see this as a relative cheap way of getting a nicer leather steering wheel. I have looked at many youtube videos on how to remove and install a steering wheel, so am very confident I can do this.

What I’d like to know, as the replacement wheel has cruise and limiter function buttons on it, what would be required to activate the cruise function, is it a matter of having it coded, or would other hardware be needed?

cheers

Standard Classic wheel with Limiter function.

eBay leather sport wheel with cruise and limiter function.

Ndal has very kindly offered to help with the coding of the steering wheel, unfortunately I don’t have a windows computer, cables etc (only have an iPad) that will allow me to connect at my end. Thanks for offering Nikos, very kind.

Does anybody know of a coder in the South west of England please, preferably in Dorset area.

Cheers
