Befuddled

I have a 02 S and was changing out a brake/taillight. I have the 3 bulb setup with the amber circular lens in the middle portion of the tailight running the turn signals and the bottom is the double element tailight and brake light. For the life of me I can’t figure out what the top bulb/lens is for. I’m old but I’ve been befuddled in this one.

Rear fogs. They're all installed from the factory, but only enabled with the 6 toggle rack and computer update to let the car know it's there.

Thanks Eric. I couldn’t get them to work but they are definitely there so I tried just about everything to see what they were for.

Some have installed jumpers between the brakes and the fogs, just to use them. Though there have been instances where the BCM didn't like the voltage flow, as it was higher than expected.

in 2002 the rear fogs weren't even a US option

there was a lot of customer complaining about it - mostly that ugly space in the toggle row where the rear fog light would be - so eventually they gave in and made them available in the us

(I bought a 2002 off the lot fall of 2002)

Wonder what the results would be by using LED to jump between the two? That should take care of the draw issue??
