I am trying to connect an Auto-Vox M1W wireless back up camera in a 2012 Mini Cooper R57 S convertible. I have the camera wired in place already. Now I am trying to connect the wireless transmitter to the reverse lights. Now I have found they are actually under the car not in the rear compartment with the brake lights. I need to find a connection place in the wiring to attach the transmitter for power and ground. I am lost where to make the connection. Please someone help me.

 

On my R56 there is a round rubber or maybe plastic plug in the bottom of the taillight housing. Take the taillight out and look down and you will see it. You can punch that plug out and that will give you access to underside of the car where the reverse light circuit is.
