My R59 antenna is beauty in the eyes of the beholder. Some like it, some don't. My old Saab 900 Turbo had an automatic powered antenna. It only extended when the radio was on. It always retracted when the ignition was shut off. I looked at some powered antennas on Crutchfield but not sure they'll work.

Has anyone tried adding a powered antenna to their Mini?
