Hello everyone, When i purchased my 2004 R53 MCS it had xenon headlights with the headlight washer assembly. after accidently braking one of the washers as well as the chrome trim I decided to just buy OEM headlights from a base cooper. My question is does anyone know if you can remove the contents from the xenon headlights and put them in other headlights? the new headlights I have have the same exact look and housing to them so i would assume something could be modified to make it work. The headlights on my car are the base halogen headlights and the others are the xenon ones i previously had on my car. Thanks for the input!
I believe i do, do you think there could there be a way to remove the xenon bulb and ballast and retrofit it to the halogen headlight?i just don't like that yellow headlight look. i much prefer the clean white light

Nope the halogen bulb mount and the throw of the light is different in the factory xenon then the factory halogen. If you put xenon retrofit bulbs into a stock halogen headlight, first the light throw will stink and also you will blind oncoming traffic as they are not meant for xenons.
Here is a link to the upgraded projector H7 bulb halogen which people then go to aftermarket xenons. Or you could just keep them halogen, the light output is good and focused.
Sorry you can't put the Xenon in the Halogen light it won't work. Keep an eye out for some used Xenons that will be the most cost effective fix. We sell new Xenon lights, but they are not as cheap as halogens.
