Electrical L.E.D bulb for rear fog.
L.E.D bulb for rear fog.
I'd like to run an led bulb for my rear fog light. I bought one from eBay (foolish, I know!) and the bulb melted the led modules off. Does anyone know the proper bulb to use?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Did you compare the brightness? The LED you purchased was probably much dimmer than the original bulb.
How long was it continuously turned on? The public has a misconception that LED's do not generate heat. Many aftermarket LED bulbs are poorly designed or constructed and have inadequate heat dissipation, causing burnout. They may work for intermittent operation such as brakes or turn signals, but not for continuous high power output.

I like the fact that led bulbs consume less power. I like the look of the led shining through the lens.
