Electrical Prosport Premium EVO Boost and Oil Temp Install Help
Prosport Premium EVO Boost and Oil Temp Install Help
I searched and found that to install gauges you do the following:
The gauge wire colors:
~Red
~Orange
~Black
~White
The Connections:
~Red to OBDII (red w blue stripe & yellow hatch) - Constant 12v Power
~White to cigarette lighter power - Accessory 12v Power
~Black to cigarette lighter (brown) - Ground
~Orange to DSC button (gray wire with red stripe) - Night vs Day Mode
The DSC button is supposed to let the gauges know when it is day or night because there is supposed to be two different brightness settings, one for day and one for night. When the DSC light is on, the gauge should use brightness setting #2 and when it is off, brightness setting #1.
I cannot get the gauge to give me two brightness settings. Any help? I've tried a new wire tap for the DSC wire as well. Can anyone show me a working Premium EVO gauge with night and day brightness settings? My daytime setting shows d-1 through d-6, but I do not see another setting option when I turn the headlights on and the DSC button lights up.
