Another Wiring Thread - Doing it the right way.

Fellow Mini Enthusiasts,
I recently acquired a
Blackvue DR500GW-HD Blackvue DR500GW-HD
and want to wire it up. I have a few questions for those familiar with new Mini wiring and/or this camera. Furthermore, I intend on wiring an electric exhaust cutout actuator on a switched (only powered when vehicle on/acc), so I'd like input on that source as well.

From this thread, I learned that fuse 34 is switched and is off as soon as the vehicle is. This would be perfect for a radar detector, or the Blackvue if I wanted to not use the parking mode, where the camera records for a set number of minutes after the vehicle is parked. A simple add a fuse would provide power in this way. Also, this source should be good for the e-cutout actuator as well. I do not have heated seats, which is what this fuse supplies, so it depends on if this fuse is hot.

Otherwise, if I want a constant-on, does anyone have a good fused source? The Blackvue has functionality to stay on and record when parked, and that might be useful for certain circumstances if something were to happen like a theft or bump by another car after parking.

Lastly, if I end up using fuse 34 for the Blackvue, as well as the exhaust cutout, 7.5 amps should be enough for these two items, as well as perhaps a radar detector later, correct?

I'd appreciate your input.
