I am new to the family. I bought a 2005 mini Cooper s works with 120k about a month ago. Today my wife and I were in line at school and were parked talking and all of a sudden the car shut off and died. No warning, no rough running. A complete electrical failure. Battery shows to have a charge but will not jump off. No dings, lights, locks, nothing. Any ideas?

 

Take battery out and have it tested at a Autozone or similar. My Mini did all kinds of weird stuff when battery was going. If battery is good maybe check the alternator.
