Battery light comes on, guages go off

A friends R50 has a problem, when accelerating as entering highway, his battery light comes on and his guages drop. Ant suggestions welcome. Thanks Rye

I'd suggest that he check the engine ground wire terminals for cleanliness, then be sure they're tight. Same on battery ground, terminals tight and clean. If that doesn't help, he needs to check main fuse box ground. Warn him about taking off rings b4 working on electrical stuff.
