Enable Welcome Lights with light switch off

Is there a way to code the car to do this. When the light switch is in the on position 2, i.e. headlights on, or is in the Auto Lights On position, the Welcome Light are enabled. However, what I am trying to do, is to enable the Welcome Lights when the Light Switch is in the OFF position. Or to put this another way, Welcome Lights are always enabled.

My BMW E90 did this so I suspect the R56 will do it. From ememory it had an FRM module whereas the R56 has an FRM2 or 3.

For those that are not clear, the Welcome Lights are the ones that come on when you open or lock the car. Usually the side/parking/city lights front and back come on softly.

That would be cool. So would be setting the DRLs to the upper portion of the Fog lights instead of the headlights.

That is possible and well documented on this forum. Those lights are called side lights or city lights or park lights depending where you live.

See GTECKO's super informative thread here at https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-yourself.html

i've done this on my 2013 Coupe w/fog lamps. I'm upgrading to the LED fog/drl lights next week but here's a pic.
