Flash ECU with JCW, or have the MCS one remapped?

Hello!
Time for another question that I've been pondering. I'm unsure on how to go about my ECU.
I've practically altered my MCS to the point of being a JCW (minus the head work) and figured I would tie it all together with the JCW programming on my ECU.

But then I started thinking....

Should I -
1. Flash my ECU with the JCW programming.
2. Keeps the stock MCS programming and have it tuned.

OR, and I'm not 100% on how remapping works, specifically, is the base programming important to the end goal. To clarify, will a remap be more beneficial if I have the "better" stock map on, such as the JCW? Or will it be altered enough that the base programming doesn't matter, and I can keep the MCS programming.

Thanks in advance!

Dude, seriously you have to provide more information about your car. I "kinda" think that I understand vis-a-vis FMIC/CAI/DP/etc...? I have done all that (see below) without a tune and will get Way's exhaust manifold before sending my ECU to NM. I have no illusions as to JCW-hood.

A remap is a remap. A remap is good. If your engine is an N14, you can buy an Alta Accessport and remap to your hearts consent!

Cheers

I honestly am kicking myself for forgetting some of the obvious info for those of you that do not know what I own....Sorry about that.

2005 MCS R53
15% KAVS Pulley
JCW 380cc Injectors
MSD Ignition
NGK BKR7EQUP Plugs
JCW intake

I really need to add those to my profile/signature.

Once again, apologies on the lack of information.

Get a REAL tune!! I have the JCW tune and while it's ok it's just that OK. You should be able to get more out of a custom tune.

You're always welcome to send it to us for one of our quicktunes for $275. It's a basic map for the mods you have but you will really see an increase in driveability and smoothness. With an RPM bump if you want, throttle response improved, and a few more HP.
