2012 mc hardtop hardwire garmin gps

I have 2012 mc hardtop. Adding Garmin GPS hardwired.

Fuse F44 on right side interior fuse panel is for cig. lighter. But if I use that the fuse cover won't go back on due to height of the 'add a circuit', any ideas? Perhaps a middle fuse with a 'mini fuse add a circuit'?

The 2012 fuse box is different than some of the posts I've seen for the R56.

I also don't see where I can pull ground from near the fuse box.

thanks

For a ground, I found a bolt that can be accessed when the glovebox door is opened. Down near the bottom right. Not sure about the cover and the add-a-fuse - I had plenty of clearance.

I ended up grabbing power from the front power socket . Only trick to gaining access to the the bottom connector to make the splice was removing the 3 screws in the cup holders, then pulling down plastic piece in front of the two cup holders (above the little rubber mat). Behind that you will find 1 torx screw holding the center console to the front of the dash. Once removed the center console comes up a few inches and you can gain access to the power socket wiring.
