Head light bulb change? Good choice or bad?
I was wondering if any of you have or have used the Nokya H13 9008 7000K 60/55W Arctic White Pro Halogen High/Low beam light bulbs for your head lights?

If so, please let me know if they are pretty good, I just bought the H8 Hyper Yellow fog light bulbs. I think they look cool but what to know the quality of it.
Thanks!

Why would you want a halogen bulb with a blue coating that reduces light output? (color temperature is usually for Xenon HID bulbs)
A much better choice would be Sylvania SilverStar bulbs for halogen lights.

Silverstars are not worth the money. They are maximum 4100k. You can get 5000k with glass that is not tinted which are better. Bulbs such as these also have Xenon in them and temperature does apply. I too have been wondering about Nokya, Luminics and Halo bulbs as well as others on Ebay. I have read that PIAA's are good bulbs.

Tinted bulbs are always a bad idea and so are blue headlights. They are both a waste of money.

Notice the 4300 is making the camera over expose while the blue looks normal:
Seems like Mini Coop needs a physics lesson...
With a non HID bulb, the color of the light is dictated by the element that is glowing. ANY gas in the bulb element is there to prolong filament life, not to determine the color temperature of the output.
They change the apparent temp of the light by coating the bulb. (filter)
Any filter reduces the actual light output.
The bluer the light, (higher on the K temp scale), the harder it is for humans to see with it at night. This is especially true as humans age. The rods and cones in the retina just don't see blue well at night.
If you were foolish enough not to get the Bi-Xenon lights, Silverstars are probably your best option.

Okay well I'll just stick with my silverstar ultra then. I just bought Nokya Hyper Yellow fog lights too so that should help at night. Thanks for the input, opinions ,and facts.

No, I'm good here Richardsperry. Rods, cones and retina's huh?
Correct me if I'm wrong but daylight is around 5100k and I mentioned 5000k and untinted glass. Up to that point you are still getting brightness close to white. I don't believe I mentioned anything about the color of the bulb glass, or light output. I even mentioned that untinted glass is better. I didn't even say that xenon applies to the color. Yes, the higher the k the darker the light - blue to purple to black. The original post asks whether whether they are "pretty good" and they feel they "look cool". They asked about the quality. They thought that they looked cool. There's nothing wrong with this person feeling that they look cool. The question is different than your opinion on whether blue glass is good or bad.
You must be very special though for choosing Bi-xenon lights. Do you feel infinitely superior to the majority of car owners who choose not to get Bi-xenon for what ever reason? Do we even belong on the same road as you? I need to ask the question though as to why police cars use blue light and why, say on college campus's, the help phones are illuminated with blue light? Is this so that nobody see's them at night or can find the phones when theres a personal emergency? Maybe these lights should be Bi-xenon? Foolish police and campus security!

Be snarky all you want, but why would anyone opt not to get lighting that is far superior to halogen if it's available? It may have added maybe $8/month to the car note? (based on about $16/$1000 borrowed.)
Once you have HID lights, you will never go back.

Blueberries will improve your night vision. RAF pilots in World War 2 ate toast with blueberry jam before night missions to improve their night vision. Israeli pilots drink blueberry juice for the same reason. Studies have shown the improvement is significant.
