I have owned Mini's over the past 10 years, 2 to be exact, One '02 "S" and One '02 Cooper. Each had two horns replaced before I sold them. I just purchased my third '02 "S" and the low horn is out.....WHAT!? Is this a BMW or MINI issue? what suggestions or recommendations do you all have? How do I get the bumper off to replace this one?

 

I can't help but think you might be wearing yours out, or something... I've never had an issue. But then, I don't honk much at all.

 

I just had both of them replaced on my 2008 MCSc by the dealer under warrantee . He made it sound like a common occurrence. My new to me Mini has only 23,000 miles on it and one previous owner. I only found out about it when I went to get my state inspection.

 

I've had 2 sets go out on me in <60k miles, just switched to hella supertones. We'll see if they hold up any better.

 

You use your horn?!
You might consider a airhorn for effect if you like using it....
