Driving Lights wired to Fog Lights?

Just received a nice pair of SS Wipac Classic Mini Driving Lights, , and i was wondering if they can be wired to turn on with the fog light switch. I don't like the switch that came with the kit and would want to keep things as clean as possible. Is it a bad idea?

Thanks!

You could technically tap into the fog light wiring, but the fog lights only go on with the low beams, and turn off when the high beams are on (which is when you generally want driving lights on.)

saying the same thing another way .... fog lights and driving lights have different purposes and are intended for use at different - and nearly opposite - times.

Fogs are typically mounted low and used when it is foggy, to cut under the fog and light up things close and provide additional light especially to the near sides. Driving lights are typiclly mounted higher and are intended to throw light far down the road. Technically a driving light used in fog reduces visibility because the high beam just ends up as glare back at you....

Yes I could easily wire a set of driving lights to come on with factory fogs but would recommend against it.

On the other hand, if I wanted max additional lights, I can see times when using driving lights, it would be helpful to also have the fogs for additional side lighting close to the car - extra light at the shoulders . . .

Yes, but you could also just wire the DL relay to any hot source and use them independently that way. FWIW, not a good idea though, if you plan on being on the road with them on.
