Scan tool to change dealer programmed options?

Is there a scan tool under a million dollars that can communicate and change different perimeters pertaining to dealer programmed options??

I just want to disable my DRLs!

Also please don't start the disscussion on how safe DRLs are. I don't care about that as I drive an Electric BLUE Mini and it's perfectly legal to drive around with flashing red and blue lights here.. I know there's an open source program out there but I am wondering if there is an alternative handheld method?

Recap: I'm looking for a scanner that can change dealer programmed options. Is there one out there for less than it cost to take it to the dealer to have them do it. They quoted 115..not happening.

Much appreciated.

Search the forum for NCSexpert. If you're decent with computers you should be able to do your DRL's and a bunch of other stuff.

The cable is between $50-100 and you pretty much get what you pay for. The handheld units start at about $2k from what I've seen. Good luck!

Check my thread here:

You'll need to install NCS Expert, which is kind of involved.
