Swap HID's between cars??

Is it possible to swap the HID headlights between two 2010 Convertibles?

My car has HID's. There is a car on the lot that has more options that I'm interested in, but it doesn't have HID's.

I'd like to put my HID's in the other car, and the non-HD's in my car.

Dealer says it's pretty much impossible, but I see people talking here about adding HID's to their cars all the time.

TIA!

It's not impossible, but it is more than a dealer is willing to do. It's not just unplug/plug type installation. When people add HID's to the non projector headlights, they are just adding the bulb, ballast and wiring to the headlight assembly.

So you want to trade in your 2010 for a different 2010? Hope you own the car outright because otherwise you are about to get screwed on your trade in value. Good luck.

Yep, I got $8200 off my 2010, so no worries on the trade in. I just need them to come down on the other car. If it happens great, if not, no biggie.
