Haunted heated seats

Ok so I've a lot of weird electrical problems, that's the most I could omplain about owning the cars ince 2006 but they sure are weird and despite how annoying they are, I love the car to death

Sometimes my AC unit (stock, not auto)... well the lights on the entire left side of it will go out.. but then they will come back on. Sometimes when I start the car they are off, sometimes when I start they are on. If they are on and I change the temp or touch any dial for that matter, the left side is almost for sure to go off.

Then, I love heated seats who doens't?? but I don't love being burned by them. Sometimes my heated seats will get EXTREMELY hot, I'm talking so hot that it left imprints in my seat of where the "Z" wires are that heat up. Other times, I may turn on my heated seats and they'll stay on until I realize hey my butts not hot and then they will be off, magically.

Additionally, I have odd issues with the turn signals on the front of my car. I do have ebay headlights and halo turn signals in the bumper, if that means anything but For what it's worth, at one time, every signal and light worked. Occassionally one will go out and one will come back on.

Here's where I think the problem started and is stemming from. A while back I put specific 194 bulbs in my corner arch lenses. Well they melted the lens and the housing of all 4 so I rippped them out because they not only destroyed themselves but also my black arches are now in need of replacement. When I looked at the connector, it appeared corroded and green/white... like there was almost an electrical fire...

Now what I want to know is, is this where my problem is coming from??? Because I dont have bulbs in these connectors on my arches... is that throwing off signals elsewhere on the car??? Or is it possible that my headlights being spliced into the side markers is drawing an uneven amount of current or something?? Either way, I'll find out soon becaues I ordered new headlights but in the meantim what I wanted to know is that if I snip off the socket connectors of the arch lights would that solve my problems??? I just dont wanna do anything stupid but I Guess I made that choice by buying ebay headlights

Just passing by but from previous posts about wierd electro-gymnastics, I'd guess you've got a battery on it's last legs. If the one you've got is the original then you are into it's 5th year which is just about it for most. I don't know how that translates into dog years.

@ your Manual A/C unit, my unit has the same problem. The backlighting near the temperature **** is sometimes out. A tap of the finger and it lights up again. Does not bother me, but it is a nuance I have come to know.

@ heated seats - Theres a retrofit harness that piggybacks the stock harness to seat connection, reducing the amount of power. I know for sure the R56 has this, and it may be the same exact part as the R53 seats. I will post up the part number.

As for the lighting, your on your own. I have no thoughts of use to you.

61102758298 is the adapter harness that will make the seats less scorching. RealOEM lists it as a $25 part. Not sure if that helps your intermittent issues, or if it will even work on the R53 seat, but it is worth investigating as far as a cross-referencable fix.

I'd love to hear if that works for you. I still have yet to retrofit heated seats into my MC40, so no burning butt for me yet.
