Updating MSFW to include phone buttons

I just purchased a 04 Cooper (R50) with the MSFW that does NOT include the phone buttons. I have looked at many posts that have not directly answered if I can upgrade an existing MSFW with the parts that include the phone buttons. I have the Automatic.

Any information on if this is possible? Do I need to have the computer reprogrammed since I already have MSFW? Will aftermarket stereos that can use the steering controls use those phone button for Bluetooth functionality with a supported adaptor?

Thanks in advance.

Yes it is possible, straight swap of switches on wheel.
No as you already have MFSW.
No the phone buttons only control the MINI optional fit bluetooth controller.

If the buttons are there, does that mean you have the bluetooth?? I have the buttons on my wheel but I haven't seen a way to connect to the car's bluetooth (if i do have it)

The buttons are part of the MFSW whether you have bluetooth or not.
