i have mini cooper r56 with halogen.
I installed oem xenon headlights.when the engine is off it works when i turn on the engine it starts blinking.Is there anyway to make them work properly.i know that there is a pack from Bmw for installing xenon.can you tell me what do i need to do to make them work?

I do believe their need to be rewiring and/or programing. Due to the cost most people haven't gone the OEM route, they retrofit projectors themselves or pay someone to do it.

 

do you know what rewiring does it need?and programming?
i don't care about the cost.

Not sure on the rewiring, you might be able to find a wiring schematic on here or just manually test it yourself. I doubt the dealer will reprogram it if they could. I doubt they can.

 

i've gone to every dealer.they didn't even knew that there is kit for installing xenon.
i 've tried but i haven't found a wiring schematic.also i read that it needs to change a string in FRM.
Can you help me with the wiring and if you know which string i have to change?

sorry for bad english, i have retroffitted xenon oem on R56 S ...

I have rewired cables, and i add the bluetooth option $522

If you don't add the option, your xenon flash ...

Once you have add that, everything work !

Just ... i have a error message with high beams, but they works great ... maybe it can be resolved by change a string in FRM module

There is no Kit from MINI you need to buy OEM hardware and re-pin the harness in the housing yourself. I do not know what changed but I know it can probably be done. I choose the cheap way and bought HIDs and projectors (D2S) and put them in the halogen housings $300 and some labor and done.

With this, I replug all cables, adding a "mass" ...

After that, i had reprogrammed my VO with adding $522

That's all !
