After turning off car and lights the rear hatch brake light remained on. I pulled the fuse and it went out, when putting fuse back in it did remain out, but don't want it to run down battery if it remains on again and I don't catch it.

Any ideas how to cure problem?

 

Are you talking about the 3rd light above the rear glass one or both of the actual rear brake lights?

What year car do you have?

Have you done the rear brake mod?
