speaker subs

hey guys kind of new to this i have a 2009 mini cooper S with the basic audio package and i want to install a 10 inch sub in the trunk. i dont know what amp i should get or if i should get a 12 inch and is it worth it? also will it require any drilling into my car and where would the amp go?
