new owner, HID problems help!
i've just purchased a 06 cooper S, my first mod was getting rid of the halogen headlamps and replacing with projector HIDs, after installing the bulbs and starting the car, the HIDs would only stay on for around 15-30 seconds then they'd flicker off. So plan B I purchased the Error Code Eliminator from DDM tuning which was suppose to trick my computer into thinking it was getting the same amount of wattage. Once I hooked that up only ONE HID worked the first time i started it, then the second try I got nothing. What is wrong??! help me out here!
Is this an OEM Projector HID assembly or a halogen projector assembly with an aftermarket HID kit ?
If it's an aftermarket kit, in some cases, you have to reverse the connector for the wires + - which attach at the top of the ballast. Could be after re-assembly you plugged it in differently than before.

If you have replaced the halogen lights with the OEM factory projectors + HIDs, you need to have the dealer or someone with the BMW software to program your car so it knows it has HIDs.
If you have an aftermarket kit, sometimes you need a wiring harness to properly supply the HIDs with enough power. I don't recommend aftermarket kits due to improper alignment, too blue, less light output, blinding, hot spots in lighting, illegal, etc etc.
