Oem Hid Question!

Yellow,

I was wondering if anyone knew what the wires (The one that is not connected) on the bottom right are for in Photo0327. The reason why I am asking is because, I recently switched my OEM HIDs for an aftermarket HID kit in 2004 Mini Cooper S. The way I hooked it up was by cutting the brown and yellow wires that was connected to the OEM ballast. After that, I connected the brown and yellow wires to a 9007 adapter. Once that was done, i just connected the 9007 adapter that was connected to the original yellow and brown wires to the aftermarket ballast.
The reason why I want to know what the wires are is because I want to know what I pushed away since the wires are not in use? Also, I was wondering if im getting the full brightness of my 35W aftermarket HID kit because it does not seem to be bright enough? I was wondering if the 9007 adapter I used could make it not get the right voltage or something? Also, I heard that people use relays to make their lights brighter. I was wondering if I can use a relay to make my HIDs brighter or is it pointless? I really dont know what relays are.

Thanks!

It's possible that the OEM xenons only receive the necessary amount of power needed for operation. The electrical diagrams show a resistor in the power circuit feeding them. If your aftermarket HID's are designed work off of full power, then you'll have to achieve that by adding separate wiring and relays.

Then you should have the work done by a shop or someone familiar with working on automotive electrical wiring.

BTW, why did you want to replace the OEM HID with aftermarket HID?
