OEM alarm problem

I installed the oem alarm for my r53 and off to the dealer I went for the programming. Dealer wanted 1+ hrs but after some discussion they agreed to make it 0.5 which is still technically high since the programming should take much less than that but I could live with 1/2 hr charge.

While the car was with them, they called and told me that the programming did not work. I was then given the option for a diagnosis. I declined and this weekend I'll double check my install. At this point I highly doubt it's an install error as the installation was extremely straightforward. If all checks out, I can only assume there might be a defective part. Unless the technician made a mistake.

My option now is to recheck and if it's an install error I can simply go back to the dealer. If there are no install errors, I'm thinking about going to another Mini dealer to see if the first made a mistake in the coding process.

Anyone out there experience a similar problem with their oem alarm?
