Auto open sunroof

I just installed the auto open sunroof kit from Outmotoring and it works great. It costs $50.00 and the install was easy, once I figured out the cover pops off the module behind the switch bank. Two quick flicks of the switch will either fully open or fully close the sunroof. Not sure why Mini didn't have this to begin with but I have it now.

Yes, it comes with pretty good instructions. However, it doesn't plug in. You have to connect five wires. There are several ways to connect them. I used the crimp type that leaves the wire in tact. You can get them at Walmart. Just make sure you squeeze the connector until the steel splice part is flush with the plastic body or you may not make a good connection. Also the directions don't mention how to access the wires. You need to pull the cover off the panel behind (towards rear of car) the switch bank. It can be popped off with you fingers. Then you remove the two screws you will see holding the rest in place. The whole job only took about 15 minutes.
