Source for power to driving lights?

I have a set of Hella 500FF lights on order and plan to install them without an interior switch. They'll just be on any time the high beams are on. Is there a good power source for the lights under the hood at the fuse box or do I need to go for the interior fuse box. I will use a relay triggered by the high beams but I still need 12v for the lights.

You can piggy back off of the OEM setup which would work really well.

I have attached the PDF file for you.

http://webpages.charter.net/jimchris...aux_lights.PDF

For your POWER and GROUND, They are under the hood in a fuse box on the drivers side.

GROUND
You will see two grounds under the FUSE BOX (page 9 of the PDF)

CONSTANT POWER
This is IN the fuse box and has a huge red power wire going to it. (Page 9 of the PDF)

HIGH BEAM TURNON (which will be your trigger for your relay)

Page 8 of the PDF
Location is in the footwell of the drivers side. you have to remove the kick panel on the left side which extends all the way down the door. Just pull it off to release the clips. They shouldn't break. Put them back in the removed panel before putting it back on the car.

The control module is in footwell held on by 2 plastic bolts.

NON Xenons
It is a YELLOW/BLUE wire in PIN LOCATION 4 of the x14260

Xenons
There is NO wire, but you will have to get a connector to put in this terminal.

If you have a 2010, the HB turnon is in pin #41

Hope this helps

PM me if you have any specific questions.

Slimjimtell: Thanks for the reply. I just finished installing the oem harness with my aftermarket lights and the lights would not activate. I just checked the pin 4 terminal for +12V with the high beams on and low and behold nothing. I closed the car up for the night and figure I would look around this site. I am not sure where you found the 2010 pin 41 terminal but I will try it tomorrow and it will probably work. It is a real pain without having the correct factory manuals or wiring diagrams.
