DME Connectors how to remove

I am being told I have a ground fault. The first thing I've been told to do is unplug the DME connectors and check to make sure that they are dry, unbent and connecting correctly ( I had a Unichip installed until recently, it will be up for sale soon).
Question is how do I remove the connector? I have found the slide but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Could some one go through the procedure? Many Thanks. Michael

Make sure the slides are completely released...if i'm not mistaken, when they are fully released they will actually push the connector up a little.

so on the lower connector I push the slide towards the bumper and the top connector I push the sliide towards the windscreen, and keep pushing on the slid until the connector pops up?
