Vanity Mirror Lights

Has anyone replaced their vanity mirror lights with leds? I ordered some and when I put them in they wont light up, but when i put one led on one side and the original halogen on the other it lights up the led, but the halogen doesnt light up. So I thought maybe it was the bulb or the plug where the light goes in, so I put both the original halogen bulbs in and they worked fine. So I dont understand why the two leds dont work together. ( and I did try the one led with the one halogen and all the leds work.) Can someone tell me what I need to do to get the two leds to sync together and work? Thanks.

I don't know if this will work or not but try rotating the bulb 180 degrees. I bought LED bulbs for my side markers and one worked and one didn't. I wrote to the place I bought the bulbs from and they said that some LED's only allow current to flow one direction. They suggested I rotate the bulb and try again, sure enough it worked. So, if the bulb will go in either way try rotating it 180 degrees and see what happens. Good luck Mike

Thanks for the quick response, i tried rotating them, still nothing, I think that they both feed off of the same wiring so one cancels the other out or something, then again im not very electrically inclined.

I believe that those light are wired in series.

If that is the case then putting in two LED'S will not work. And putting in one LED and One halogen will only allow the LED to work.
