Battery Problem

After changing the battery and the alternator..I have again a problem with the battery charging circuit..On my scan gaugeII I see a low voltage indication..(11.2/12.1 volt).

Where is the problem..?.. I think that the battery is not enough charged by the alternator during the driving.

--Do you have any after market pulleys or other electrical items on the car? Where did you buy the alternator from? I've bought brand new alternators that were no good from the start. Sears will check out your whole charging system for free most times. Even if you didn't buy from them. That will tell you if the problem is with the alternator or the battery.

I'm not sure what happens when the ground isn't sufficient but I've had that happen to me on other cars. Changing out a $8 ground cable fixed all my electrical troubles.

Hope this helps.

It can be a bad ground lead which is super easy to change....or a bad positive lead. Ive had both happen to me on other cars which resulted in low voltage readings. You could be drawing current from a defective part...who knows. Just need to start ruling things out one by one. Also, a corroded ground (at the frame) could be suspect....

Thank you very much...

I think that the problem is the positive cable that goes from the engine compartment..to the battery...because at the engine compartment I can see about +25 Amp...and rear at the battery..-25Amp..:(:(

today I'll check the ground cable
