Electrical Angel Eyes Running Lamps Wiring Question
Angel Eyes Running Lamps Wiring Question
I just picked up a set of Angel Eyes Running Lamps from Moss Mini, but I'm waiting for new white leds to come in before I install them.
I want to wire these up so that they're on all the time (with ignition power), not just when the parking lights are on. What would be the nearest power line I could tap to do so? And has anyone else done this?
I have a 98 m3 with angel eyes, and I wired those to be on all the time by tapping into the windshield wiper fluid sensor, which is right next to the headlights. I was thinking I could do something like that, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any other ideas or have done something like this before.
Thanks in advance

Yeah, I cant think of any under the hood either, usually when I need something that is on only with the ignition I just tap the cigarette lighter. In fact I actually ran 14 gauge wire up behind my parcel shelf so I wouldnt have to dig out thew cigarette lighter each time I wanted power.
Ok, so I got around to installing the angel eyes this weekend. After a little searching, I couldn't easily find a wire that I could tap for ignition power.
I wanted to tap the windshield wiper fluid sensor, but I didn't want to go through all the trouble of taking off the fender walls to access it. I tested just about all the fuses in engine bay fuse box, and none were usable. A lot of them were hot all the time, and the ones that were powered with ignition were giving off 14 volts (not the 12 I was looking for). I tried tapping the hood latch sensor, but that was only giving me 5-6 volts.
There was nothing else nearby that was obvious that I could tap. So I just wired it up to the stock parking lights harness. I guess I can live with them just being on with the parking lights.
