iPod issues...

Hey y'all. Wondering if you could help me out-

I've had over a year of flawless performance with the stock (base) stereo, OEM ipod interface and 5thGen iPod in my 2004 R50; until yesterday...

The receiver apparently sees the ipod connected (ie/ does not display "NO MAGAZINE"), the iPod sees it's connected (ie/ i can see the check mark and the "MINI - OK to Disconnect"), however there is no sound. If I turn it up all the way, I can hear static and a little bit of signal, but not much of either.

I've tried reseating the cable plenty of times and also restored my iPod, and still no luck. Is there a way to reset the stereo? Or has anyone else had a similar problem and figured it out?

I've done a search, but didn't see anything that quite fit.

Thanks in advance!

J

Firmware Ipod update

Does the ipod has the lastest firmware update?
Usually when you plug it to the computer Itunes is asking you if you want to update it. Last time I say that, the Ipod wasn't up to date...
