Electrical tach problem

tach problem

I just installed the autometer boost gauge and put everything back together and now I have a check engine light, and the Tach is not reading, the lights on the tach and everything else are working.

any ideas?

May be over simplifying it, having removed the tach numerous times, but is the connection snapped in and tight?

yeah I unplugged it and re plugged a few times just to be sure. Like I said everything else on the tach works just no RPM reading
