Fuse problem

Hey if im trying to run a power wire for a gauge to a fuse. how come even when the engine is off the fuses still have power to power my gauge light?? where can i wire this so it will go off when the engine shuts off.

are you tapping directly into the fuse box vs tapping into the 12v wire?

Check the hot or not sticky, and use a terminal 15 type fuse. I use F30 with an Add-A-Circuit to power my radar detector.
