How to remove antenna?

In a couple of weeks I will have my 07 MCS. Since I want to install some graphics, I would like to remove the antenna and the surround from the roof of the car to do the install, then put the antenna surround back on. Anyone know how to take the surround off. I will not have navigation or satellite radio if that makes a difference as to antenna.

Thanks in advance,

Paul

All the cars are equipped with the GPS and Sirius antennas. You access the 19 mm nut that holds on the antenna from the underside of the roof, above the head liner. You need to remove at least the uper two rear trim panels to drop the headliner. I also removed the panels on the B pillar to avoid creasing the headliner. To remove the trim panels, pop out the plug that says "AIRBAG" and remove the Torx bolt that secures the trim panel, then just pop off the panel (it's held on with standard clips). The panels are a bit fiddly to reinstall, just wiggle them around until they line up.

Thanks, Crash! I did the job on my 06, but did not go have to remove the side panels, but I did scratch the heck out of the back of my hand slipping it in under the headliner. I was hoping beyond all hope that I would not have to go through that again.....maybe I'll try it your way..

Thanks again,

Paul
