so you can have something else other than the door lock switch control the garage?

Yes. I can custom program to trigger the GDO from any toggle (I've done it from DSC, and both fog positions - when customer hasn't had those features, and has got a toggle piece to go in the blank). Although I recommend still having it trigger from door lock/unlock, so the circuit is "standard plus" ...

Finally got around to installing Ian's card yesterday evening. The copies of installation tips that came in the box sure were nice, as I was able to move the downtubes aside in my '05 to get at the toggle bar mounting screws.

The biggest challenge for me was getting the pins lined up on the connector to the back of the toggle bar. That blasted plastic "fence" around the male connector makes it hard to see what's going on, as I was fearful of bending a pin. No way in Hades could I have done this the "blind" way with the toggle bar in its mount -- and I can't imagine how others have managed to do it that way.

In sum, it's in, it works, and I love it! No more hanging in first gear as I wait for the window to close... Thanks, Ian.

If you want the garage door opener feature, get Ian Cull's. I have the MCAW, and while it works as advertised, the GDO feature required a lot of legwork, exta parts, etc.
