Starting to think about the transit down to Eureka Springs next week.

Here's what I think I know regarding Thursday travel plans:

- bsteig -- Leaving a day early to visit friends in the area
- densan57 -- Leaving Thursday morning (meeting up at the BP in Ainsworth at 8:00 am)
- OVREZY -- I-35 to I-49 (Wed nite stop in KC)
- smieska -- I-29 to I-49
- Gil-galad -- Leaving Thursday morning (meeting up at the BP in Ainsworth at 8:00 am)
- miniturns -- Probably US-63 all the way to Jefferson City (will already be in ES when we arrive)
- Coalvalleyers -- (meeting up at the BP in Ainsworth at 8:00 am)
- srmitch2 -- (meeting up at the BP in Ainsworth at 8:00 am)
- DDayKid -- ?
- KennyR -- Heading down independently via St. Louis

Jerry & Chris from IC are going too...checking on their plans...

I'll be at the BP in Ainsworth ~8:00 am if anyone wants to join me there.

I'll arrive at the Shell station/Arbys in Kingdom City, MO (where I-70 crosses US-54) around 10:45 am (possible meet-up point with the QC folks).

I will pass through Jefferson City probably ~11:45 am. Planning to arrive in Eureka Springs ~3:30 pm (time for check-in and a car wash prior to the welcome event at 6:00).

Post up here with your plans if you're interested in motoring together. Otherwise, we'll see you all down in the Ozarks.

Not to throw this off topic but isn't there something in Chicago that weekend?

Im planning to leave Council Bluffs 8ish on Thursday morning down I-29 and should be rolling thru KC around 10:30 and then down I-49 like Gary suspected. Overeasy, if your not leaving KC to early and wanted to meet up along the way I could call you when I get close to KC and see if we can find a place to meet. Its always better to travel in Packs. Mapquest says I have about 6.5 hours so should be in ES around 3. Gary have you spotted a carwash in the area yet? Peggy is not going to make this trip as she has something bigger happening on Friday so I am bringing along a friend that has been eyeing Minis for a while. Looking forward to seeing everyone next week.

Gary:

Thanks for the invite to join up. But as it's almost 570 miles for us to MITO on the most direct interstates southwest through St. Louis, we won't be near your route. We're overnighting Weds in St. Louis, and should be in Eureka Springs after lunch.

We're looking forward to catching up with you and the others from EIM at the rally. Have a safe ride all!

We'll certainly miss seeing Peggy but looking forward to meeting your co-pilot!

I'm counting on the MITO-provided car wash at the host hotel being up and running when we arrive. It is usually well provisioned.

Just received email confirmation from Gregg Petersen (on the MITO '14 Event Committee) that the car wash station adjacent to the convention center at the host hotel will be open and ready for business on Thursday afternoon.

Suggest you bring along your own favorite soap, wax, microfibers, etc. I know the OCMD among us consider these items as vital as fuel and clothing anyway.

EIMers, I'll be sending Glympses for the benefit of our team throughout our trip to and during MITO. If you have the Glympse app on your device, feel free to join the group labeled !EIMatMITO to see and share coordinates.

If you don't have the app and you're using a web browser, just go to http://glympse.com/!EIMatMITO

No reason to stay separated from the group anymore.

Found out from my brother that the Across the Creek Buffet in Garfield is permanently closed.

Time to come up with Plan B...

Oh No, Wasn't that the Crab Leg place your brother took you to last year? There's always the BBQ place down the road I guess

Yeah, that was it. I'm disappointed that it's no longer an option...the road getting there and back was half the fun.

OBTW, so you don't give me grief again, I specifically wanted you to know that both the front and back sides of this clip are now properly painted and I can show up in ES without shame...

That looks like fresh paint too, My plan was to go directly to the front of your car when I saw you and see if you had corrected the deficiency yet. Now I have nothing else to check on. I did clean the inside of my exhaust tips just for this trip. Getting excited and about ready to roll.

"Wheels up" in 20 minutes!

New Friday substitute recommendation from my brother Doug today -- Granny's Kitchen in Huntsville, about 30 min down the Pig Trail. Looks good and local.

Nice to meet you and a few of the other EIM members at MITO, sorry we didn't have more time to chat. It was a great event with picture perfect weather...thanks for sharing your pics.
