My new Mini just arrived at the dealer today! Here are a couple of photos that the dealer sent me. It's killing me to know that I won't be able to get it until May 5th as I will be out of town on a business trip.

It's going to be a long 1 1/2 weeks.

 

Congrats Jim! She is a real thing of beauty. Very nice Black Star Bullet wheels and interior trim selections. Also (not that I'm biased or anything) I think the navigation screen does wonders for the instrument layout -- makes it look like the big speedo circle actually has a purpose.

Gosh, since you'll be traveling would you like me to give it a few hundred miles of test drive for you? Seriously, can't wait until you can join us at a meet and show it off in the flesh.

 

Change of plans. The dealer called me and twisted my arm to get the Mini before my trip on Friday. They really want to count my car as an April sale. I guess they need it to make their quota. Anyway, it didn't take much twisting so I'm taking the day off of work and I'm headed to Des Moines to get it on Thursday!

 

Congratulations! I am glad they didn't have to twist your arm too hard -might have made driving difficult

My only fear is that my face is going to be sore the next day from smiling so much. (26 hours to go!)

My Mini is all mine! Traveling today by plane sadly. Will post photos later. Hope to see everyone at the next meetup.

 

"...next..." Does that mean you're coming to Branson with us?

 

I wish I was able to make the Branson trip. May is a busy time for end of school year activities. On top of that, I'm getting ready for my first marathon in Fargo on the 19th.

Some times it takes a while for him/her to tell you what their name is I just called mine "baby" until I finally realized her name.

I've had mine 4 years this June 6th and I still feel like a kid in the candy store every time I get behind the wheel.

 

Big props on your new ride! I really love the black/red seats & black-out wheels; I s'pose you don't have to worry too much about the Bloods in Iowa.
