Thanks to everyone that attended the parade today. Looking like we were going to get washed out for awhile but turned out great!
Kim (from New York) won the hands-down entree from the greatest distance...
Sevyn, thanks to you for being our Princess, and to Brian and Cora for being the proud parents.
Keep Swamp Fox on your calendars; we already have a Princess candidate for next year... Tessa, David's daughter was an ecstatic volunteer!
Daryl, thanks for the bling that we have all grown to love.

At 6 am this morning I never would have imagined that we'd be able to dodge the rain storms. I thought it might be a complete washout. Almost as if by magic, the sprinkles stopped when I pulled into the car wash at 7:45 and stayed away for the entire event. We were truly blessed to have conducive parade weather today.
I echo all of the sentiments and thanks! It was great to meet Mica, Amber, Xander, and Liam; wonderful to have Gary and Penni along with us today, and pretty darn cool having Kim helping to fill the parade ranks.
Appreciate Larry's planning and organization, and Daryl's unflagging generosity and attention to detail. And of course, we couldn't have done it without Sevyn!
Here's my contribution to the photo archives...enjoy!

Hope to see many of you in Iowa City next Sunday!
P.S. - Pam, thanks for the article!

Hey all, thanks for the warmest of welcomes and letting me fill out your ranks and round out your colors. I think my clutch has forgiven me--I never did smell it the rest of the day / drive to Sioux City this afternoon. I can safely say I have never seen kids so overloaded with candy bags as those kiddos in Marion today. How would you like to be THEIR parents???
Thanks again; it was great visiting with you!

Larry,
I have added you as a Friend on Facebook, so you should be able to see the pics I uploaded now.
deanman,
Sounds like a GREAT idea. We already told him he could crash at our place when he's coming back through if he wants. Any excuse to get together is great!

And we hope to see a lot more of all of you!
We're trying frantically to find a babysitter for this Sunday so we can hang out sans boys. Of course, my parents are going to Gays Mills and our babysitter is working at Pumpkin Fest, so those are our 2 babysitters...Now we are just trying to find someone to watch the boys while we come out for the afternoon with all of you. Hopefully we can find someone. We'd love to have more time to spend with the EIM group.
And, we need to get our EIM MINI badge from Gary. That alone is reason enough to come.
