Thanks Rob.
Yeah, I don't think the challenge in doing a EIM photo index is technological (I'm thinking the photo directory could just be a simple widget). The work is deciding what we want the pictures to look like, soliciting them, having folks follow through and provide them, and then deciding how they should be identified on the website so as to honor everyone's privacy considerations.
1. The photos - A full head-to-toe picture of a person or couple standing in front of their MINI(s)? Side, front, or angle view of the MINI? Once we decide, maybe we can email everyone an example to follow. I suppose we could take some pics at one of our events but there's not always a good time or place to get it done and we'd only be addressing a small subset of the total population.
2. Associate first names only with the pics? Home town? (I'd be uncomfortable asking for anything more than that to be associated with a photo and made public.)
Thoughts anyone?

First names (or nick name) with home town doesn't sound to invasive. NAM handle?

I'd simply make it Picture of Car and owners side by side head to toe if you'd like or head shot of owners and shot of car, I'll just create it as a page so I can format it with multiple pictures per entry (one for faces, one for car)
First names only, no surnames and nickname of car, should be sufficient info, anything else you want to share can be shared at the meets. I wouldn't even put originating town.

Also, a separate car pic would allow the owners to choose the "glamor shot" of their MINI they'd like to use. You could size them and crop them a bit so each MINI fills the frame similarly.
I agree with first name(s) and MINI nickname if applicable.

Hey gang, I recently added a new widget to the right-hand margin of the EIM Website home page. Entitled "Upcoming Events Quicklook," the idea is to provide a simple list of links to info on formally planned, near-term events (i.e., within the next month) eliminating the need to wade through all of the posts to figure out the order of what's coming up.
Let me know what you think. If you like it, I'll make it permanent and keep it updated.
