so, are all of us Iowa City (and people traveling through Iowa City) drivers going to meet up and drive together? if so where should we all meet at? i'm down for a MINI "parade" on the way.
It looks now like we'll be able to make it from Hampton. Looking forward to seeing everyone and talking MINI'S for the first time in a while, as this has seemed another long winter.
I'm thinking we should meet up at the mall in coralville. we could meet in the sears parking lot since it's just off of I-80. that way no one can miss us and we can't miss anyone driving by, and its nice and easy to get back on I-80. 8:30 or 9:00 work?
We meeting at front street at 10:30-11 Right? It only takes about 45-50minutes to get to dport, and another ten to get downtown so we could leave at 9:15-9:30 FSB is a right off two main streets so it's a quick drive in.
Lisa and I will plan on being at Sears then at 9:00 to meet everyone, not sure anyone going down know the area, but I'll gladly lead us down there since it's my home town.
We won't be able to make the meet and greet Saturday because Marty is in intensive care, but, he saved Dad's life. Tuesday Dad had an accident driving Marty on Highway 1 & 78, near Brighton, Iowa. He fell asleep at the wheel and went into the ditch and hit a culvert at about 40 mph. The air bags deployed, but thank God for seat belts, Dad was able to get out alive. Dad spent the night at the hospital, and was released the next day after getting thoroughly checked out for broken bones and internal injuries. He is bruised and his back is worse than ever, but he is alive!!!! See you all after Marty recovers, if he does.

Oh no! All our best for a speedy recovery for your Dad and Marty! Please keep us updated on their progress.
Thank goodness for airbags and safe cars. Sorry Marty is hurt but glad Mike survived the crash without major injury. Good luck and take care, and like Brian said youre always welcome MINI or not!
Goodmorning everyone! just wondering if with the snow from last night and the blowing snow that we are sposed to get later today if we are still on and how many people are still going. and what is the weather like over in d-port?
We'll still be heading out but are running late so we wont make the meet up in Iowa City and will just have to meet everyone in Davenport. Interstate looks to be flowing fine from what I can see so roads should be ok to get there, however DOT says otherwise I guess: http://hb.511ia.org/main.jsf. Hopefully See everyone down at FSB. Drive safe!
Hope everyone who made it to FSB yesterday had a fun time! I was really bummed that my eleventh-hour commitment didn't allow me to make it...I had been looking forward with eager anticipation to this event for literally months...
