I've used cafeexpress a few times to order some shirts, they are pretty decent quality shirts and print. I'd order a shirt or two

Just need to know if that is our final logo?

Also do you have a "full size" image file of it.

Something not compressed for the web

You need to check with MariaChick to see where she stands on this. I think she was ready to adopt the original concept with some mods suggested by oldsbear. We definitely need to reach agreement on the logo prior to investing in some merch. Plus, I'm anxious to get some cards made -- I think we're missing out on some quality tagging opportunities...

It might make sense to see if R56MINI would be willing to do the final production for us, given the professional experience.

Whatever the final decision is, I would definitely purchase some apparel. And do you think the cards will be ready by November 3rd?

I am a bad logo person :( But I do believe that the logo is awesome and our only issue would be resizing it, which we can deal with I would imagine.

Being in charge of the logo made me realize something: I am horrible with computers, or else my computer is horrible with pictures. (I'm leaning towards the first one...)

If we had any other changes, I am guessing they would be pretty easy to make. I'm thinking that our main image man here should be R56MINICooper rather than me, for I am computer-challenged
I will gladly help with anything... just don't rely on me too much for computerish stuff, I will try... but probably fail

I think we are waiting on business card designs, I havent seen anything yet. Mine was just thrown out that as an offer to use.

If we use my normal vendor for businesscards it takes like a week to get the cards which means they'd need to be designed and ordered by like tomorrow.

MariaChick, you are not a bad logo person! You didn't even volunteer for the job, we thrust it upon you. We always appreciate your ideas and perspectives.

R56, I don't think the card design is as critical as the logo decision. We can assemble a batch of interim cards by 11/3 by printing them ourselves. We can worry about a long-term printing solution at a later time.

Actually, I have a small suggested mod that I will email to you ASAP. If you accept, I think we'll be just about there. I get the feeling from MC's other posts, and the posts of the others, that your's will be the basis.

Yep...Oldsbear had that exact concern when he reviewed R56MINICooper's nice initial work...as it turns out he was prophetic.

What we probably need to do is find a way to modify the MINI "wings" to be sufficiently different than the corporate logo. I emailed R56MINI with a couple of ideas for changing the wings (some crude Photoshop edits) but now I'm thinking they might not have been radical enough. Please send your ideas to him if you have them -- he's eager for input.

Your original cafepress link still shows the early draft version of the logo. Is there an updated link with the final logo that the rest of us can access?

I'm also anxious for some Eastern IA MINIs swag!

It should be the gold one with the extra lines in the wings right?

Actually I updated the items but not the front logo should be fine!

Well I ordered Lisa a shirt for Christmas(hush hush)...Ill buy myself one at some point. It showed up and the print is a little faded but it's ok I guess. Gives it a quasi vintage look.

Yep, I noticed on my (black) shirt that the graphic isn't so much faded as it is not as crisp as the original design. Evidently some limitation in their process that helps them keep their customization and production costs down. Though, still plenty acceptable and legible for the price, IMHO.

I'm thinking about ordering a companion white long-sleeve but it's always a dangerous practice to be buying things for yourself this time of the year.

Just took delivery on two more long-sleeved Ts (white and grey). Interestingly, the EIM logo on these shirts seem a lot clearer and crisper than on the black shirt I ordered last fall. Maybe they've refined their process, or its better on the lighter background, or perhaps I just got lucky.
