I'm in Grand Island, NE and will be arriving in Iowa City some time this afternoon. Mho is very grimy and will need a proper washing once I get to Iowa City. Any recommendations for a good place to get him washed? Normally I only wash my car by hand in my driveway, but I don't have any of my car washing stuff with me and I don't have a driveway yet!

 

Saw this too late...hope you found a spot. When I'm in that area I usually stop at a wash in Coralville on 1st Ave.

 

I found a touchless car wash on US 6 and begrudgingly used it. I hate putting my wheels on the tracks, as I just know they'll get scratched up.

Heh, thanks Gil. Yeah, my estimated time on the roads may need re evaluated. The old number was based on driving my 2000 chevy 4wd pickup. I will have to factor in the "___ minutes untill ________ happens? Where could i drive around to?" number now.

 

Hey all, I am a new Mini owner based in the QC area. I am interested in joining Eastern Iowa Minis. I tried joining on the blog site but it keeps giving me a failure. Any help would be awesome.

I really would like to get involved in some local Mini rides.

I am located in Cedar Rapids, and am VERY EXCITED to be joining this group! When you all were having your meet-n-greet in Iowa City on the 28th, i was flying to New Jersey to pick up my 2005 R50!~ Drove home from there and enjoyed every minute of it!

This is going to be really FUN!

BTW, I responded to your Yahoo! post with some guidance on an AUX interface. My previous MINI was an '05 MC so I have a soft spot for your ride (and maybe even some aftermarket parts in which you might have an interest...).
