Anyone home?

Greetings. New to this forum, not to forums. (I'm old) Taking delivery of a 2023 SE HT on Thursday. Moonwalk Grey, Iconic trim and heated steering wheel credit. Not happy about that, but this one was pretty sad in the pound as no one wanted to adopt him.......It will never go more than 40 miles from the house and make me proud squeezing into parking spots all over town. Everything else we have is large, like dually RAM and Suburban large. Had a small car before and they're just too darn handy. Level one charging should keep up for now, although I have plenty of juice in the workshop behind the house to put a box in......

Anything I need to know but they're afraid to tell me?

I'm the kind of guy that reads the book..... Especially for first EV. So far it seems pretty intuitive..... Although I have questions about this:

Welcome fellow SE traveller!

You haven't said where you live so you may not miss the heated steering wheel, but you did get roof rails which I would have liked on mine.

I used to read manuals too, but now I just wing it. Still haven't quite figured out the auto wiper thing.

Are you willing to share what you paid? EV depreciation is an interesting topic.

cheers

The stalk appears to come through the wheel. Paid just north of 20K at a local dealer. Located in Eastern PA. It was below zero here last week......

Congrats! I'm old, too. After 60 years of driving small sports cars, I've never enjoyed one more than my 2021 Moonwalk Grey Iconic MINI Cooper SE (I removed the inappropriate hood scoop). My motto is "Exchange the range for a ton of fun." Oh, wait, my other motto is "Bounds about roundabouts, quietly acting out." A very robust MINI Cooper SE forum is here.
