Scratched steering wheel trim ring

Ugh, while getting out of the car with my computer bag in hand, I managed to scratch the flat silver colored trim ring on the steering wheel down to the black plastic. It's driving me nuts to see this every time I'm in the car. Anyone know if there is touch up paint available, or if I need to replace the trim ring?

You mean the ring in the center on #5 in the RealOEM diagram (see link)?

If so, that includes the airbag an is almost $400.

You might want to look for some creative things to do with it. I don't know whether you could wrap the ring in vinyl or not.

Yes, thats it. The trim ring in Part #5. The scratch didn't damage the plastic, only the paint. I wonder if there is some way to remove the ring so I could just repaint it?
